Game news A big excluded and role-playing games: the Nintendo Switch releases of the week
Like gamers, it took Nintendo a few days to recover from the holiday season. Determined to get back in shape and in the saddle for this new year which begins, the Kyoto firm is relaunching releases to supply the Nintendo Switch catalog. Here is a small selection of the titles that await you this week on the hybrid console!
Contrary to what its title suggests, you will have to be wide awake to cross the 80 levelsfilled with creatures and bosses, NeverAwake ! Who has never lived a dream in which it was possible to let off steam on things symbolizing our most painful memories? It’s a bit like the principle of NeverAwake : we control Rem in it a frenetic shooting game where you use the two joysticks and where we can combine our equipment to defeat monsters, all in hand-drawn settings as pleasing to the eye as the combat animations. It’s up to you to put an end to this nightmare and discover the multiple endings.

Persona 3 Portable
This week, it’s double carry ration, and it starts with a cult Japanese role-playing game: Persona 3 Portable ! Almost fifteen and twelve years after its European release, respectively on PS2 and PSP, the Atlus hit returns to try to seduce new fans who have succumbed to Persona 5 Royal. So we embark on an adventure that will last a plump number of hoursand it will take at least that to get around the scenario where you will investigate the threat of the “Shadows”within and around Gekkoukan High School, along with a wide cast of characters, ready to help you and unleash their Persona in turn-based battles. Note that there are a whole bunch of little new features to better immerse yourself in history (French subtitle, difficulty options, …).
Persona 4 Golden
Yes, it’s not just Persona 3 Portable on the program this week! Nintendo completes the collection of the Shin Megami Tensei spin-off by adding Persona 4 Golden to build a nice set of J-RPGs. As for its eldest, quoted just above, this episode of Persona mixes a storyin the form of visual novel with new characters, in the fictional environments of Inaba, turn-based combatof the equipment management as well as mechanicals that make the salt of the Persona series. In the same way, this new version of the game will make it possible to better take advantage of its plot since it embeds the same quirks as Persona 3 Portable with a little more subtlety: an “Album” section to replay the dialogues of certain passages and discover all the facets of the scenario.
A Space for the Unbound
An indie game that takes you back in time to the mid-90s in a small town inspired by rural Indonesia, anyone? This is precisely the journey that promises us A Space for the Unboundbut beyond a walk in unknown lands, it is also an inner journey promised by the software developed by Mojiken. We certainly dive into a relaxing setting and a plot with supernatural accentsbut also in the psyche of Raya and Atma who live their last moments as high school students and are caught in emotional turmoil and anxiety aroused by this young adult life that is beginning. And then, last thing: between two discussions with the locals, you can stop for five minutes to cuddle the stray cats: it’s more than a positive point!

Fire Emblem Engage
Almost three and a half years after the episode Three Houses, Nintendo returns to the charge with Fire Emblem Engage in order to offer us a good dose of strategy. Certainly more classic than its elder in terms of scenario, the title is however original by playing it “Rings of Power” thanks to his Emblems mechanic. This power will be a lifesaver for our hero who will be able to invokein its sublimely animated turn-based tactical battles, some of the most popular heroes of the license. Behind this fan-service aspect, we can still detect a most attractive dynamic appearance and particularly neat visuals. In fact, this episode arises, neither more nor less, as a Nintendo Switch staple at the beginning of the year: this is what we explained to you at the end of our game preview !
