“SONGS, ACCOUNTS AND FANTASTIC STORIES”
with Francesca Catenacci and Cecilia Cruciani
directed by Fabrizio Pompei
A show dedicated to children of all ages directly from
popular tradition. Retrieve the stories and songs of the different
popular Italian traditions will lead us to rediscover a character
controversial: THE WOLF. Loved and hated the wolf is the archaic spirit that
it brings human fear to the stage but also the spirit of solidarity and community
of the pack. In fairy tales, tradition gives us tools for
process fears, live them in the shoes of narrated characters and songs
popular evoke and alienate the same. An interactive show
that invites the little spectators to interact with the stories, create
atmospheres, singing together, making difficult choices. On stage an actress
who tries to sing and a singer who lends herself to being an actress.

Friday 2 September at 9 pm
A show by the Bertold Brecht Theater in Formia
“PULCINELLA MON AMOUR Nightmares, jokes and dreams of Cetrulo Pulcinella”
with Maurizio Stammati, Pompeo Perrone, Chiara Ruggeri, Chiara Di Macco,
Dilva Foddai
directed by Maurizio Stammati
Structured as if it were a great carnival of masks and drums,
confetti and flags, the difficult art of surviving is told
Pulcinella Cetrulo, mask with a thousand faces always fleeing from someone,
always looking for something. In rewriting for actors and music the
Guarattellesque adventures of the black and white mask, it is told
of the earthly and supernatural encounters of Cetrulo Pulcinella,
sentenced to death for escaping his puppeteer. Represented
for the first time in the Fleury theater in France, the show has a
double life: the stage and the street. It can indeed be
represented on stage for an audience of adults and children, but
also in the squares and alleys of the cities, built as a path
checkered. The public is always taken on a journey, beyond
beyond easy stereotypes, authentic, ironic, bitter and grotesque in
colorful world of Pulcinella
Saturday 3 September at 5 pm
a production of the Teatro Stabile d’Abruzzo in collaboration with
Theareable
“STORY OF BARBABLÙ”
With Alessandra Tarquini, Michele Di Conzo, Fabrizio Villacroce.
Direction, music and dramaturgy by Eugenio Incarnati.
The show, starting from the structure of the fairy tale transcribed by
Perrault, retrieves elements taken from traditional stories
popular Abruzzo. An a-logical logic drives the show: each
possible language is questioned, everything is fake, everything is
visible, revealed… and everything is unlikely. Everything, on the other hand, is
fast, just enough to frustrate the senses and surrender to
flow of the story. In the (apparent) simplicity of the set-up, in the
grotesque, in the oneiric and in the ridiculous one finds, in the end, the meaning
of the language of theater.

Saturday 3 September at 9 pm
a production of the Teatro Stabile d’Abruzzo in collaboration with
Fantacadabra
“THE CAT WITH THE BOOTS”
Freely inspired by Perrault’s fable of the same name
With Santo Cicco, Laura Tiberi and Roberto Mascioletti.
Music and songs by Paolo Capodacqua.
Concept and direction Mario Fracassi

A young and unfortunate boy disguises himself as a Cat (assuming upon himself
the role of the hero and, therefore, of the child), using cunning and
deceit, he procures wealth and happiness by making a mockery of power
constituted; such power is represented by an ogre from operetta …
The boy, the third son of a poor miller, receives one as an inheritance
mask and a cat suit. Of course he is desperate, but, when
he understands the value of the inheritance his father left him… Lo
show looks like a light and mocking joke, where all
situations that can lend themselves to laughter, mockery, al
nonsense and comic effect are amplified and accentuated by
interventions of the characters as in a kind of fantastic journey, with
the triumph of the bizarre and the game.
We wanted to read an explicit reference to the
Mask and the Commedia dell’Arte, transforming the costume of the “Cat
with boots ”(which the young boy wears) in a kind of
costume that refers to the idea of a Pulcinella or a Harlequin.

Sunday 4 September at 9 pm
A co-production FANTACADABRA and Teatro Stabile d’Abruzzo
“ALICE’S TRIPS”
Interpreters: Laura Tiberi
Stage aids and puppeteers Santo Cicco Mario Fracassi
Text and direction Mario Fracassi
Music by Paolo Capodacqua
Puppets and puppets Wally Di Luzio
A wing like “Palazzo dei puppattini” and a carpet will be the background
to the stories that will involve Alice, the protagonist of the show.
This time Alice will tell us that: Once upon a time there was a little girl, yes
he called … Prezzemolina, beautiful, innocent and witty, that she should have
soon learn to beware of less fantastic dangers than fairies
cannibals and the easy promises of future flatterers, without however
lose curiosity about the surprise box, a little mocking, a little
wonderful, which is fate. A fairy tale from which to emerge is a certain one
impudence of Prezzemolina who does not wait passively or with spirit
sacrifice to be redeemed by a hero: even when it is
terrified, in despair, she does not give in, she knows her stuff,
resists to literally save his skin. Yet in this story
full of movement and lively dialogue, all tending towards the best
final solution there is a maternal home, a pregnant woman and a vegetable garden,
a familiar image, filled with hostile presences. But who is in
reality the protagonist, what does it represent? How to explain recklessness
of the mother, her disappearance in the unfolding of the plot?
.

Sunday 4 September at 9 pm
a production of the Teatro Stabile d’Abruzzo in collaboration with
Fantacadabra
“WHAT TIME DOES NOAH’S ARK ARRIVE”
With Santo Cieco, Laura Tiberi, Roberto Mascioletti, Natascia
Pietrangeli, Mario Fracassi.
Music and songs by Germana Rossi Directed by Mario Fracassi

“You have to be on the ark at eight o’clock if you want to save yourself, because
there will be a terrible flood …
A show that presents a modern and different version of the Flood
Universal told from the perspective of three penguins. A story that
touches the strings of the belly, moving to laughter and thought. One
show played on a register that mixes humor with
reflection and existential investigation. A show that seeks, with
ease and irony, to take the great question of God seriously
playing on the flood in a funny and witty way. The story takes place
between the ice and the snow of the Polo where three penguins, bored and
quarrelsome, they are surprised by an extraordinary event: the flight of one
butterfly. They have never seen anything so beautiful … Right in that
moment a dove comes to announce the universal flood. But they
cannot save themselves: there is only room for two penguins on Noah’s ark,
because only two animals of each species will be able to survive climbing a
edge. What will happen to the third penguin? Fortunately they have an idea
brilliant…
A story where poetry and irony intertwine, capable of arousing a
smile that makes you more aware. A funny and poetic show
about love, a fable and a story of friendship and solidarity for
all. In the show three penguins and a dove (with Noah as
appearance) are the protagonists of an extraordinary tale that
intertwines fundamental metaphysical questions and questions (the existence of
God, the problem of evil, sin) with irresistible humor
within the narrative of the universal Flood myth. But seen from below,
with children’s eyes.
