Production on the first season lasted about six and a half months. Also, the series went through about 8 months of post-production before it debuted on Netflix. So, if the entire schedule stays the same and Netflix announces a second season ASAP, we probably won’t see season two until early 2024. Of course, season two could be a quicker production, since they’ve been sitting many of the bases of the series. It would be great if the series was on Netflix around Halloween 2023, wouldn’t it? However, that might be too short a timeframe, but again, we’re just assuming.

Although there is no set date for Netflix to announce the second season of Wednesday, the streaming service usually renews the series in the three months following the premiere of its first season. Therefore, it is to be expected that the confirmation of the renewal of the second season of Wednesday arrive around February 2023. If Tim Burton returns for season two, the Addams Family series will mark the first time since batman returns from 1992 that he has directed a “sequel” to one of his projects.
