Henry Cavill he will no longer be Superman or even Geralt in The Witcher. The actor, however, will be involved as the star and producer of a new TV series, and possibly a film, based on Warhammer 40,000. Here’s what we know so far.

Superman, Henry Cavill will not be in the new film

US media are reporting the news of Henry Cavill involved in a new live action series of Warhammer 40000 branded Amazon Studios. The project is currently in development and will be produced by Vertigo Entertainment. For those who don’t know Warhammer 40,000, is a futuristic three-dimensional tabletop wargame, produced by Games Workshop in 1987. Players use their own model warriors and vehicles to carry out missions, all set in a future where humanity is threatened by hostile aliens and supernatural creatures. Many novels inspired by the game have been published over the years, but there was never any talk of a series or film. The involvement of Henry Cavill as protagonist and producer is certainly not accidental: the actor is in fact a big fan of the franchise and as a hobby he paints miniature character models.

The news of the involvement of Henry Cavill in the new project dedicated to Warhammer 40,000 perhaps it will serve to relieve the actor’s fans a little, sorry for his recent and definitive farewell to Superman.
