MEXICO CITY, September 22 (Agencies)

We are a few weeks away from the most festive season of the year for many: Halloween. That is why on these dates a lot of spooky-themed productions arrive on Netflix, and here we leave you a list so you can prepare your marathon.

Guillermo del Toro is known for his love of monsters and this season he surprises us with a series of stories that define a new genre of thriller. The Mexican director premieres a miniseries in which he chose eight stories and eight filmmakers to direct them. In addition, he himself will present each episode.

Each episode is different and the authors behind them are the most talented names in the horror genre today. Hence the curatorship that Guillermo del Toro did as creator, presenter and executive producer. Two of the episodes were written by him and the anthology promises to give us a good dose of terror.

This movie stars Jessica Chastain, it is also based on real events. This is a good thriller starring a nurse named Amy, who suspects that one of her colleagues is responsible for a series of mysterious patient deaths, so she risks her own life to find out the truth.

If you are one of those who is always looking for serial killer documentaries, you have to see this terrifying documentary miniseries about Jeffrey Dahmer, the multiple murderer. In this story they tell about his 17 victims and how he operated. When Milwaukee police entered the 31-year-old Dahmer’s apartment in July 1991, they discovered a serial killer’s personal museum.

This October there is a lot of Mexican power on Netflix. In addition to the new series by Guillermo del Toro, an original production premieres. What is Belascoarán about? The Mexican capital at the end of the 70’s and the revolution of ideologies are clouded by horrendous crimes occurring at the hands of the forces of evil. Only a character capable of giving up his stable and comfortable life will be able to rescue the Federal District.

In a mansion with a mysterious history, the eight members of a club meet every day at midnight to share sinister tales and search for supernatural signs from beyond. This series is based on the Christopher Pike book series and was brought to the screen by the producers of “The Haunting of Hill House”, so it is a production worth seeing.

If you like mystery this series is the one for you, “Unsolved Mysteries” returns with more unexplained deaths, incomprehensible disappearances and strange paranormal activities, as part of a special three-week event. Volume 3 is the work of the creators of the original documentary series, Cosgrove/Meurer Productions and 21 Laps Entertainment, the producers of “Stranger Things”.
