Mystery series with fantastic and horror veins designed for a young adult audience, The cases of the young Kindaichi takes up one of the most successful characters of Japanese manga by offering a collection of new and old stories presented in a contemporary perspective.
The series
Kindaichi Hajime is a not particularly brilliant yet brilliant student, who pours all his keen intelligence into solving murder cases, strange events and mysteries. In the investigation he is joined by a childhood friend, Nanase and a Tokyo police chief inspector, Kenmochi. The series is based on a famous manga published since 1992 which saw the high school student Kindaichi as the protagonist. The success of the comic led to the creation of two anime series, animated films, special episodes in OAV. Previously, four other live action TV series were also drawn, but also video games and books. Actor and singer Shunsuke Michieda will play the protagonist. Characterizing the events of the character created by Yozaburo Kanari and Seimaru Amagi (for drawings by Fumiya Sato) is a mix of classic yellow that manages to mix murders behind closed doors, macabre and sometimes supernatural situations. If you want to find a Western reference to this type of story, you must certainly mention the great John Dickson Carr.
