MCU: 10 teams that should have their own Disney+ movie or show | Pretty Reel

Although Avengers is getting most of the attention in the MCU, Thunderbolts is the next team-up movie, with reports that Florence Pugh’s Yelena will direct it. Interestingly, it will unite anti-heroes and villains from across the franchise into a new government-sanctioned team, likely created to replace the Avengers in the universe. Other exciting teams on the horizon are, of course, The Fantastic Four and X-Men, but also the Wrecking Crew in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Nevertheless, there are still others that deserve special attention. Some teams’ introductions into the MCU seem quite likely and imminent, given the recent trajectory of movies and TV shows, while others could come further down the line. Anyway, these heroic teams are the most interesting and deserving of their own movie or series on Disney+, although some could be announced during the next D23.

Implications were already made in 2019 when Kevin Feige hinted that mutants and the X-Men would be coming to the MCU. But no new developments have occurred since that news, and many fans are disappointed at the lack of insight or any mention of them in much of Phase Four. Therefore, it probably would have been better if Feige had waited to announce until there was actually something to announce.

Nonetheless, Ms. Marvel finally did the unexpected and introduced the MCU’s first mutant, Kamala Khan. The door is now open for them to arrive. Of course, the X-Men will have their own movie, perhaps even one of the Phase Six mystery slots that will be revealed at D23. The case could also be made for secondary X-Men teams like X-Force, X-Factor, or Excalibur to get their own movies or shows as well.

With the exciting news of Daredevil: Born Again and the rumored re-enactment of the Netflix-Marvel series, there’s new hope for shows like The Runaways. The show aired on Hulu for three seasons, ending in 2019, but now they might find a home in the main MCU continuity. Some fans have already theorized how this could happen, either in a full reboot or in the continuity of the original series.

The team is made up of young heroes and a genetically modified dinosaur, Old Lace. The recent reveal that Nico Minoru will star in the MCU-adjacent animated series Spider-Man: Freshman Year gives some hope that at least she might have a future in the MCU, but hopefully she doesn’t. is not alone. A Disney+ Runaways reboot could also turn out to be one of the Phase Six shows.

Alpha Flight

Phase Four also introduced international heroes, such as Red Guardian in Black Widow, Scarlet Scarab in Moon Knight, and the Red Daggers in Ms. Marvel. This trend is expected to continue and one of the best options for this would be Alpha Flight. The team is the Canadian equivalent of the Avengers made up of Guardian, Vindicator, Northstar, Aurora, Snowbird, Shaman, Sasquatch, and sometimes even Wolverine.

An Alpha Flight project probably wouldn’t happen anytime soon and would likely be reserved for phase seven and the next big saga since they’re related to the X-Men, and it would be odd to introduce them before the X-Men officially arrive. Men. However, when the opportunity arises, the MCU should take advantage of it.

Charlie Cox is making a huge presence in the MCU over the next year or so, and fans are absolutely thrilled. First it has She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, then Echo, and finally Daredevil: Born Again. Now what many want is for his former teammates to get the same treatment – or at least most of them. Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones in particular should return, but it would also be great to have a revitalized and revamped Defenders series.

The Defenders on Netflix was moderately well received, especially for some action sequences and the way the main four clashed, but it never really came to be the big thing it was meant to be. Given the popularity of the characters, the team might also get their own movie at some point. Alternatively, they could do a full Defenders title relaunch, using the original Doctor Strange team, Hulk, Namor, Valkyrie, Hawkeye, and more.

A strength

While Avengers: Endgame culminated in one of the most epic moments in pop culture history with the final battle against Thanos, there was one that left a sour taste in some people’s mouths. viewers. This would be the time when all the female heroines would team up. It was received controversially, with some celebrating it for what it is, while others called it pandering and claimed it wasn’t enough to have a one-minute streak – they had need a real A-Force movie.

Now that She-Hulk is here, it’s all the more likely that she was the founding member and leader of the team. Importantly, the team was formed during the Secret Wars crossover, and with Avengers: Secret Wars concluding Phase Six and the Multiverse Saga, there’s even more hope that an A-Force movie could be in development.

Young Avengers

With nearly every Phase Four entry, a new teenage hero has been introduced to the MCU, many of whom are just waiting for the day they announce a Young Avengers movie or Disney+ show. Right now, the list is pretty impressive – Kate Bishop, America Chavez, Ms. Marvel, Kid Loki, Wiccan, Speed, Ironheart, Stinger, Patriot, and maybe even Love. Some have yet to age or power up, but they are on the right track.

There are a few other members waiting in the wings – namely Hulkling, Marvel Boy, and Iron Lad – but they could surely be arriving soon. Since this is a team of young heroes, the MCU has a condensed timeline to complete a Young Avengers project, so let’s hope they don’t waste the opportunity.

Avengers: Secret Wars could conceivably unite multiple universes within the MCU, allowing the X-Men, Fantastic Four, or other popular heroes to intersect and exist in the main continuity in the future. However, after that, hopefully, the multiverse won’t be shut down for good. The introduction of a team would depend on it – the Exiles. As the name suggests, it’s a team of multi-versal rejects, variants removed from their timelines who end up working together.

If it weren’t for the fact that most of the team members are mutants, this would be a perfect addition to Loki. Nevertheless, when the X-Men finally arrive in theaters, Exiles, like X-Force or Excalibur, would be an exciting adventure to watch on a Disney+.

son of midnight

The Midnight Sons, who are also currently recognized for the highly anticipated video game Marvel’s Midnight Suns, are another team that is steadily increasing its potential roster in the MCU. Current candidates for this team would be Doctor Strange, Moon Knight, Scarlet Witch, Blade, Wong, and Werewolf by Night. Other hero fans would like to see join Ghost Rider, Hannibal King, Man-Thing, Jennifer Kale and Daimon Hellstrom to name a few.

There are so many avenues to explore with the supernatural and horror-centric side of Marvel Comics, and Midnight Sons would be a great way to showcase them all together. However, a Midnight Sons movie would logically work like The Avengers or The Defenders in that most members would have to get their own solo projects first. Nonetheless, it’s something that would be an exciting announcement for many fans, and could finally be the perfect place to drop in for Mephisto.

Following this adventure across the multiverse, the MCU should delve into more cosmic stories and threats. This would eventually allow the Ultimates to team up as they battle enemies like Galactus. In the comics, the team consists of Captain Marvel, Spectrum, Black Panther, Miss America, and Blue Marvel, so the MCU is only missing the latter.

However, the MCU’s Ultimates might actually function as the Galactic Avengers, especially since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is supposed to be the end of this team’s adventures together. As such, the team could also welcome Nova, Silver Surfer, and Quasar, as well as the remnants of the Guardians as members.

Supreme Squadron

Another team that could be introduced as part of the vast multiverse is Squadron Supreme. They’re literally Justice League pastiches, consisting of Hyperion, Nighthawk, Power Princess, Doctor Spectrum, Whizzer, and more. With the DCEU in shambles right now, the MCU could easily take advantage of the situation by introducing Squadron Supreme.

In fact, there are already rumors that they will be part of Loki’s second season, but as rumors, that should be taken with a grain of salt. Alternatively, it could be Squadron Sinister instead – their previous villainous counterparts. Either way, if it’s not Loki, Avengers: Secret Wars seems like a logical place to introduce them – after which they can headline their own series on Disney+.
