furiousthe upcoming prequel to the post-apocalyptic action feature film Mad Max: Fury Road – 97%, will hit theaters in 2024 and will be an origin story of the renegade warrior Imperator Furiosa. In 2015, we saw Charlize Theron as Furiosa star road fury beside Tom Hardy Like Max Rockatansky. The tape was directed by George Milleracclaimed Australian filmmaker known for being the creator of the saga Mad Max. Miller is also in charge of the direction of furiouswith Anya Taylor-Joy Y Chris Hemsworth like the main stars.

Following the critical and commercial success of Mad Max: Fury Road, Miller is ready to bring to the big screen furiousa new chapter in the wild franchise of Mad Maxwhere we will see Taylor Joy as a younger version of the character from Theron. The production of furious ended recently and Taylor Joy talked with indiwire recently about the filming of the film in Australia:

I have been on a different planet for the past seven months. I think I need to sit down and try to digest what has happened in the last seven months. But I’m incredibly, incredibly proud of it, and so proud of everyone I worked with, and just from the amount of love and effort and work that went into it, I’m excited to see it.

Taylor Joy made her big screen debut in The witch – 91%film directed by Robert Eggers and premiered the same year as road fury. Set in 17th century New England, this acclaimed period supernatural horror film established Taylor Joy like an actress who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. During the interview with indiewire, Anya revealed that while she’s had to get pretty dirty in previous movies, she’s never done it before to the degree that her character in the prequel to Mad Max requires. His words were as follows:

It’s the dirtiest and bloodiest I’ve ever been, which is saying something, really saying something. Anytime I get dirty or bloody and not perfectly demure and pretty, I’m just having fun, that’s where I feel most comfortable. So yeah, ‘Furiosa’ is definitely what I wanted.

The upcoming prequel will tell the story of Furiosa’s youth, when she was kidnapped along with her mother and taken away from her home in “The Green Place,” only to later find herself at the Immortan Joe audience. The film covers a period of 15 years, which probably means that we will see a lot of her life on the wasteland and perhaps the end of her connects directly with Mad Max: Fury Road. As the world collapses, the young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a vast Biker Horde led by Warlord Dementus. Touring the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. As the two tyrants battle for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she musters the means to find her way home.
