Jennifer Aniston shares her “challenging journey” with in vitro fertilization

Jennifer Aniston She has been gracefully dodging pregnancy rumors for several decades and has, on many occasions, jokingly ignored public pressure to become a mother.

But behind the scenes, the star secretly endured a “challenging road” with the fertilization in vitro (IVF) and has just opened up to talk about his trip for the first time.

In a new and raw interview with allurethe 53-year-old actress reveals that she tried to start a family several years ago but life had other plans for her.

“I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging path for me, the path of making babies,” she said in the latest edition of the post.

Any woman who has undergone IVF treatments knows how challenging the process can be. For Jennifer, there was the added pressure of knowing that the paparazzi they were constantly on the lookout for a possible baby bump.

“All the years and years of speculation… It was really hard. She was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, whatever. She was giving her all for it.”

Looking back on her experience, Jennifer expressed her disappointment that it did not turn out the way she had hoped.

“I would have given anything because someone had told me: ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.’ You just don’t think about it, so here I am today. The ship has sailed,” she said.

The actress did not say an exact age at which she began IVF treatments, but said that enough time has passed to give her peace.

“I don’t regret anything,” he said. “I actually feel a little bit of relief now because there’s no more, ‘Can I? Perhaps perhaps Perhaps’. I don’t have to think about it anymore.”

Of course, Jennifer has endured intense speculation over the years and even spoke to The Hollywood Reporter last year about the impact all those pregnancy rumors had on her.

While chatting with Allure, the artist said pregnancy rumors weren’t always what bothered her the most. Rather the suggestion that she was “selfish” for focusing on her career and not having children really bothered her.

“[La gente pensaba] that I only cared about my career. And God doesn’t want a woman to be successful and she doesn’t have a child. And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because he wouldn’t give her a child. They were absolute lies. I have nothing to hide right now,” he said.

In 2016, Jennifer wrote a opinion piece for The Huffington Post to applaud the media’s fixation on her fertility.

“For the record, I am not pregnant,” she wrote at the time. “I’m fed up.”

In her interview with Allure, the star explained what prompted her to write the op-ed.

“I thought, ‘I have to write this because it’s so maddening and I’m not supernatural to the point where I can’t let it sink in and hurt,’” she said.


Jennifer, who was married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005 and Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2017, also addressed whether or not she would marry again.

“I never say never, but I have no interest,” he said. “I would love a relationship, who knows? There are times when I want to roll up like a ball and say, ‘I need support.’ It would be wonderful to come home and fall into someone’s arms and say, ‘That was a tough day.’
