With David Howard Thornton (Art the Clown), Lauren LaVera (Sienna), Elliott Fullam (Jonathan), Sarah Voigt (Barbara), Griffin Santopietro (Eric), Kailey Hyman (Brooke), Amelie McLain (The Pale Girl), Catherine Corcoran (Dawn), Samantha Scaffidi (Victoria Heyes), …

After being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to the town of Miles County where he targets a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night.

Already showing a short film dating from 2011 and two feature films, “All Allow’s Eve” (2013) and “Terrifier” (2016), released for the latter only very recently on VOD with us, the terrifying Damien Leone’s killer clown with a demonic grin is tumbling into French dark rooms at the start of the year to engage in a butchery that sends the exploits of Michael Myer, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger and Ghostface to the watery slasher department of pink.

A veritable “goregie”, or gore orgy if you prefer, in which Art plants, eviscerates, dismembers, relentlessly and meticulously skins the unfortunate whose path has had the misfortune to cross his path. Blood red icing on tripaille cake, the mute clown is assisted in this sequel by a kind of creepy mini-him, the pale little girl, who adds a layer of unease to the savagery of her outrageous massacres.

S the scenario, a bit crazy, tells us nothing or not much about the origins or the motivations of the monster, except that it seems to have in sight a teenager fresh out of a terrible depression following and her little brother with Morbid ideas keen on serial killers, this bogeyman-show great guignolesque with killings of an extreme goritude demonstrates a formidable efficiency and pulls out better than well.

Boxed for the modest sum of $250,000 but obviously carried by a team of enthusiasts, this revival of the supernatural slasher in 80s fashion has already made more than 12 million since its release in the United States and Damien Leonepresent in all the compartments of the game, or almost (writing, direction, production, editing, sound, special and visual effects), would already be working on a 3rd opus.

On the acting side, special mention to Lauren LaVera ; the interpreter of Sienna, who for her first role in the cinema gives of her person by frying herself against Evil in a tiny costume of an angel fabricated for Halloween and especially in the masterful silent performance and all in mime of David Howard Thornton in the shoes of the “terrifying” sadistic clown.

PS: The film may last more than 2 hours and be incredibly violent, but don’t leave your seat when the credits begin to take advantage of a particularly craspec little bonus.
